Hamme, Belgium/Harbin, China - June 25, 2018 - Euramec, the European flight simulation manufacturer, will deliver six flight simulators to CAFUC of China in a record five months between signing the contract and delivery - and continues toward further reducing delivery times, CEO Bert Buyle announced.
Euramec and China-based Wright Brothers (Harbin) earlier this year concluded a successful bid for six flight simulators to be delivered in the second half of 2018 to Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC), the largest civil aviation university in Asia.
Smart manufacturing 2.0
“Our 25+ years of manufacturing expertise in high tech components have given us the stepping stones for transforming our manufacturing performance,” Bert Buyle explained. “It illustrates how Euramec can leverage technology to enable innovative manufacturing practices that improve product quality, increase customer responsiveness, and drive cost efficiency.”
Turnaround times from bespoke design to customized manufacturing is continuously under review to help improve overall customer satisfaction with Euramec flight simulator products and services.
“Optimizing our value chain right from the start of the production process helps to improve our production process,” Bert Buyle said. “For example, we hold core components in stock, and strong partnerships with aircraft manufacturers provides the latest flight sim software updates - enabling us to deliver on time and on budget.”
